Jhonka always gets kind of pissy with me when I bump Tec-nical Difficulties out of the top spot so I can comment on breaking news. But shit … when SDSU nabs a former USC receiver for the football team and a 6-foot-10 Virginia transfer for the hoops team, I’ve got to post something. I mean don’t I??
Anyway, meet senior Brice Butler, who can play immediately.
His arrival probably has Dylan Denso feeling a little glum this morning. Please be nice to Dylan if you see him, OK?
Now meet James Johnson, a Canadian who will be eligible in December and joins a frontcourt of Skylar Spencer, Dwayne Polee, J.J. O’Brien, and HolyShitThisTeamIsLoaded.
Honestly, I’m not sure I can support bringing in a player who puts mayonnaise on his french fries, but I’ll trust Fish that he can keep such issues in check. Still, if the kid starts blasting Bryan Adams on the locker room stereo, it may cause some problems. Just sayin’.
So that’s that. Now do me a solid and scroll down and listen to the podcast or whatever. It’ll get Jhonka off my back.
Update: Looks like you can add Ryan Katz to SDSU’s transfer haul as well. I’m shocked and dismayed that Rocky Long would disregard my very important post from Monday about playing one of the young quarterbacks instead. I was truly under the impression that he took most of his coaching and recruiting cues from this blog. C’mon Rock … I thought we were tight.
